Patient experiences in Australian hospitals

Report

 Recommended by subscriber

This Evidence Check review examined factors relating to positive and negative experiences of patients in Australian hospitals. It drew on qualitative studies of patient reported experiences and found that small changes to health system operations and resourcing, and the way professionals engage with patients, could substantially improve care. Examples include inviting patients and carers to contribute to decision making and discussions about treatment options and care preferences.
