Auseinet – the Australian Network for Promotion, Prevention and Early Intervention for Mental Health

A national organisation located at Flinders University in Adelaide, South Australia, Auseinet is an information and resources gateway to policy, research, projects and activities in relation to promotion, prevention and early intervention (PPEI) for mental health.

Auseinet's Noticeboards provides readers with the most up to date news in the area of general PPEI, ranging from suicide statistics and prevention, social welfare, mental health grants and funding, education and employment strategies to consumer and carers.

The Resources page in the website directs readers to a variety of Auseinet's products such as the GP monograph series, on-line mental illness and recovery toolkit, free access to Auseinet publications, factsheets and media reports. Recently, Auseinet has added ‘Settings and Populations', and information packages about mental health that includes definitions and two recent papers on school settings and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

The Australian e-Journal for the Advancement of Mental Health (AeJAMH) provided by Auseinet is a triannual, peer reviewed, open access on-line journal which aims to nurture and encourage understanding of advanced PPEI approaches to mental health. Contributors are welcome to submit their papers to AeJAMH by following the guidelines provided.

Apart from all the resources mentioned above, Auseinet's What's Happening webpage serves as a mental health directory. Providing users with forthcoming conferences/events, a wide range of mental health activities in Australia, contact details for key mental health organisations and information from the government department.

A subscription form is available to be downloaded for users who wish to join the Auseinet's newsletter mailing list and email alert or to amend contact details. Users can also join Auseinet's discussion groups and search the entire site.
