Simon Patterson, PHC RIS
In an article in the last issue of the PHC RIS infonet , I described some of the features of the recently launched section of the website that allows all users to view Division and SBO 2006-07 Reports.
Previously only the reports where the Divisions or SBOs had used the on-line system to enter their report, were available as they had the option of using the previous Microsoft Word based template or the new on-line reporting tool . Whilst many had used the on-line reporting tool there were still a number supplied in the Microsoft Word document.
Working with the Department of Health and Ageing, PHC RIS was tasked with importing these Word based reports into the on-line system and has now finished this task.
The exciting part of importing these remaining reports is that there is now a ‘complete set' in the on-line system. When viewing these reports or, for example, using the Indicator Calculator (see hyperlink below) that all of the information is now available, rather than just a subset.
This makes this information a lot more accessible to researchers, policy makers, staff within the Division Network and other interested parties to use in their work in the primary health care system.
Start at <http://www.phcris.org.au/divisions> to explore the options and the new information that is available.
How did you use it? And what for?? We would be very interested to hear your feedback.
