NICS now part of NHMRC
The National Institute of Clinical Studies (NICS) officially became an institute of the National Health and Medical Research Council on 1 April.
As part of the NHMRC, NICS will be continuing its work to help close important gaps between best available evidence and current clinical practice. There will also be new opportunities to work alongside fellow NHMRC staff to improve the use of research in Australia and to further develop knowledge about the science of evidence uptake.
Applications are now open for the NHMRC's 2008 NICS Fellowships Program.
The Fellowships are open to early-to-mid career health professionals who are committed to improving health care in Australia through the use of best available evidence.
