PHC RIS welcomes latest addition to its orientation family

     Sarah Eckermann, PHC RIS

Due to the immense popularity of PHC RIS orientation packs and in the interest of accessibility PHC RIS has developed electronic orientation packs. Introduced late in 2005 Orientation Packs were developed based on feedback we received from Divisions.

The packages are designed to introduce new staff members in our stakeholder groups to PHC RIS products, services and staff; create an effective platform for information sharing; and give stakeholders a clear understanding of the products, services and resources we provide.

And because there is no doubt that staff turnover can have a negative effect on an organisation by leading to a loss of productivity, skills and competencies, orientation packs have become the cornerstone of our communication with new stakeholders as they have helped us overcome some of these barriers.

Orientation packs have allowed us to communicate with new stakeholders and restore within their organisation a corporate knowledge of our organisation. The electronic packages much like their hard copy counterparts will introduce new staff members to our resources, services and staff; and highlight those that are most relevant to them.

These electronic packs are available and can be requested from via our website <www.phcris.org.au/orientation>.
