Making the Connections - Report of the 2004-2005 Annual Survey of Divisions

PHC RIS is pleased to announce that Making the Connections - Report of the 2004-2005 Annual Survey of Divisions is coming soon!

The Annual Survey of Divisions (ASD) gathers data from all Divisions of General Practice across Australia, and contains information on Divisional membership, infrastructure, governance and activities. PHC RIS has produced annual reports on the results of the ASD since taking over its administration in 1997; the eighth of which is due for release shortly.

All Divisions of General Practice complete the ASD. Analysis of the data commenced in late 2005 and was finalised recently. This year's data analysis was the first to utilise automatic data downloads from the survey document. Combined with both manual and electronic data checks, this has ensured greater accuracy of the data, as well as providing a feedback process whereby Divisions had the opportunity to check their responses.

The final report has been prepared to reflect the structure of the Divisions' Planning and Reporting Framework. Each chapter will feature graphs and tables of the results, including comparisons to data from previous surveys; as well as summaries and discussions of the major findings, incorporating information on pertinent state and national initiatives. The report will be available as a published document and in electronic format. It is fully indexed and provides a comprehensive overview of Division characteristics and the broad range of activities in which Divisions are involved.
