23-25 May 2007
Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre, Darling Harbour
The 2007 conference theme Working together aims to address the tough issues related to the Australian health care system. More specifically, issues such as - How do we/have we/or should we work together? What has worked? What have been the benefits/shortcomings of these collaborations? Where could we improve linkage and exchange within health care partnerships? will be explored and discussed.
For the third consecutive year, the Primary Health Care Research & Information Service (PHC RIS) is in the process of designing yet another exciting conference in collaboration with the Australian Government Department of Health & Ageing, the Australian Association for Academic General Practice (AAAGP) and the Australian Primary Health Care Research Institute (APHCRI).
During the full three day conference, Wednesday 23 to Friday 25 May, 2007, the program will be jam packed with paper presentations and poster displays, four plenary sessions, several social engagements, and countless impromptu meetings. Delegates will be inspired, challenged and provoked by our international guest speakers, Professor Chris van Weel (Head of Department for General Practice/Family Medicine, Radboud University Medical Centre, Nijmegen, The Netherlands), and Professor Nicky Britten (Professor of Applied Health Care Research & Deputy Director of the Institute of Clinical Education, the Peninsula Postgraduate Health Institute, UK). We will also be hearing from Australian speakers and looking at the Australian perspective gained through on-shore research projects.
The call for abstracts is now open on our website. The closing date will be Monday 5 February, 2007. We urge those who wish to submit an abstract, to do so now. All abstracts addressing the conference theme 'Working together' are welcome.
