Anne Magarey, PHC RIS
The PHC RIS eUpdate and the eBulletin have merged, to become the PHC RIS eBulletin , and is now sent out to subscribers once a week.
Feedback indicated that subscribers wanted fewer emails, each covering a specific topic (articles, conferences). It seemed a natural progression to send out one larger email each week, covering all the topics of interest to subscribers.
Each PHC RIS eBulletin lists the topic headings each with a short description of the information covered, and a link to the information which is stored on our website, http://www.phcris.org.au/publications/ebulletin.php
For example, under News Items you might find a number of new newsletters from relevant organisations, and a list of these organisations.
In general the headings used each week are:
- What is new on the PHC RIS website
- 2006 GP & PHC Research Conference update
- Articles of interest
- New reports
- News items
- Conferences / Seminars / Forums / Workshops
- Vacant positions / Funding opportunities
- Media releases (including Government)
Because it is now weekly and the information is stored on our website, rather than contained within the email, we are able to include a wider variety of information than before.
The new systems will prevent the eBulletin from taking up too much space on your computers, or taking a long time for you to download.
The web address for the eBulletin current and past issues is http://www.phcris.org.au/publications/ebulletin.php
The eBulletin now also has its own email address:
ebulletin.phcris@flinders.edu.au
Please contact us at this address if you would like to comment on the new eBulletin . Your feedback is very important, and enables us to keep our products and services both relevant and useful to you.
You can subscribe to eBulletin on-line at http://www.phcris.org.au/services/mailinglists/signup.php
