Annual Survey of Divisions (ASD)
The Annual Survey of Divisions (ASD) is a comprehensive survey completed by all Divisions of General Practice in Australia to collect information on their membership, activities and infrastructure.
Divisions have been surveyed every year since 1993-1994, except for the financial year 1996-1997.
The Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing has contracted PHC RIS to conduct the ASD since the financial year 1997-1998.
In 2007-08, around two-thirds of questions were removed with some new questions introduced. Due to the significant reduction in ASD content and reporting requirements, the latest results are presented in a much abbreviated Summary Data Report which identifies longitudinal trends in mainly table and figure format, with some explanatory text.
Data from the ASD is presented in a variety of formats to provide valuable information regarding Divisions' activities |
