Annual Survey of Divisions
The Annual Survey of Divisions (ASD) is a comprehensive survey conducted by PHC RIS each year to collect information from all Divisions in Australia about their membership, activities and infrastructure. We present these data as:
- Fast Facts
- Provide a quick snap shot of information, often illustrating longitudinal trends and state and RRMA analyses
- Based on information collected in the Annual Survey of Divisions since 1999
- ASD Reports
- Recently released: Making a difference. Report of the 2005-2006 Annual Survey of Divisions of General Practice
- Division Benchmarking Tool
- For those interested in knowing which Divisions of General Practice across Australia have the same demographic characteristics
- Division Key Characteristics
- A spreadsheet containing core Division information, e.g. number of practices and GPs in Divisions
- The spreadsheet also provides a longitudinal perspective, with the same information available from 2002-03
- Division Mapping Tool
- Designed to enable easy identification of Divisions conducting similar programs and activities
- Coming soon - an improved, more dynamic version
- On-line browsable Tables and Figures from recently published ASD reports
- Queries and specific data requests
- Unable to find the information you want?
- Unsure if the information you want is available?
- Make a data request via the ASD data request form

Performance and Development Funding Pool
A Performance and Development Funding Pool was established in 2005 to build capacity and recognise performance across the Divisions Network.
Funding was made available to a total of $1.6 million in 2006 which was divided into two distinct pools:
- Pool A ($1.4 million) - projects of up to $100,000 to build capacity in the network; and
- Pool B ($200,000) - projects of up to $10,000 to build individual division/SBO capacity
A precise of all 'Pool A' projects and a summary of the 'Pool B' funding is available on the AGPN website
