Annual Survey of Divisions

The Annual Survey of Divisions (ASD) is a comprehensive survey conducted by PHC RIS each year to collect information from all Divisions in Australia about their membership, activities and infrastructure. We present these data as:

  • Fast Facts
    • Provide a quick snap shot of information, often illustrating longitudinal trends and state and RRMA analyses
    • Based on information collected in the Annual Survey of Divisions since 1999
  • ASD Reports
    • Results providing an overview of Divisions activities are published in an annual report.
  • Division Benchmarking Tool
    • For those interested in knowing which Divisions of General Practice across Australia have the same demographic characteristics
  • Division Key Characteristics
    • A spreadsheet containing core Division information, e.g. number of practices and GPs in Divisions
    • The spreadsheet also provides a longitudinal perspective, with the same information available from 2002-03
  • Division Mapping Tool
    • Designed to enable easy identification of Divisions conducting similar programs and activities
    • Coming soon - an improved, more dynamic version
  • On-line browsable Tables and Figures from recently published ASD reports
  • Queries and specific data requests
    • Unable to find the information you want?
    • Unsure if the information you want is available?
    • Make a data request via the ASD data request form

Other conferences, workshops and events can be found in the Events diary. This includes details of upcoming State Based Organisation (SBO) forums as well as Australian and International events.

Divisions and Research

We maintain the Roadmap Of Australian primary health care Research (ROAR) that includes information about primary health care research projects, researcher profiles, research organisations and funding.

Our infoBytes are informative and skill-building on-line fact sheets. They provide information, resources and links relevant to primary health care practice, research, evaluation, collaboration, and communication.
