Journal Impact Factors
Journal impact factors are an indicator of the importance of a journal in relation to other journals in the same field. The Institute for Scientific Information (ISI) analyse the citation patterns of many journals and publish the results in their Journal Citation Reports (JCR). Unfortunately a subscription to JCR is required to access this, however many publishers and distributors provide impact factor details for their publications on their web sites.
Instructions for authors
Instructions for how to structure a manuscript and the process of submitting to a journal vary from journal to journal. Details are usually on the journal's web page or in a printed copy of the journal.
Manuscript templates
