We advise all delegates to leave plenty of time to arrive in Canberra for the Conference. In the past, some delegates have missed the Wednesday morning sessions due to unavoidable flight delays or similar issues. It is therefore recommended that you plan to arrive on the Tuesday evening to ensure you do not miss any of the Conference program. The Welcome Reception and early registration will be available from 1800 for delegates to attend at the National Convention Centre, Canberra. See you there!

ACCOMMODATION:
Special room rates have been negotiated for delegates attending the 2012 PHC Research Conference. All accommodation rates are quoted in Australian dollars, inclusive of GST and are per room, per night (room only) unless specified. Please note that all accommodation bookings must be accompanied by a credit card guarantee. These details will be passed on to your specified hotel to secure your booking.
Accommodation is only available for the dates of IN: 16/7/2012 – OUT: 21/7/2012, but can be organized outside of these dates on an as-requested basis only. This can be done through the on-line registration system – please follow the instructions provided.
The closing date for accommodation bookings is 15 June 2012. Bookings after 15 June 2012 will be subject to availability and will need to be made directly with the hotel. All accommodation bookings are subject to availability.

The registration and information desk will be located in the Ballroom, first floor foyer in the National Convention Centre, Canberra, and will be open at the following times:

Upon arrival, please ensure you collect your Conference Handbook and name badge at the registration desk. Conference Logistics staff will be happy to assist you in any way they can.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
Registration cancellations received in writing at the Conference Secretariat by 15 June 2012 will be accepted. Registration fees will be refunded less an A$110 administrative fee. Cancellations received after this date cannot be accepted and will not be refunded. However it is acceptable to transfer your registration to another person. The full name and details of the person that will replace you must be advised in writing to the Conference Secretariat prior to the Conference. No refunds will be made for non attendance to the Conference. Any changes or cancellation to both registration and accommodation must be notified in writing to the Conference Secretariat conference@conlog.com.au or fax to 02 6285 1336. Exceptions are at the discretion of the Organising Committee.
Payment of Fees
All Conference and function payments must be received prior to the Conference. If payment for your registration type (eg. Early bird 25 May 2012) is not received by the cut-off date, your registration type will automatically be changed to the next registration level.
Privacy
Information necessary for your attendance at the Conference will be gathered, stored and disseminated in accordance with the National Privacy Legislation. A participant list with name, organisation, state, email address, mobile number and Twitter user name will be supplied to all Conference attendees. If you do not consent to the Conference providing your information for these purposes, please indicate this on the privacy box on the registration form.
Special requirements
Every effort will be made to ensure people with special needs are catered for. Should you require any specific assistance, catering or arrangements to be made on your behalf, please include a notation on your registration form under the section 'Special Requirements'.
Insurance
Registration fees do not include personal travel insurance of any kind. It is strongly recommended that, when registering for the Conference and booking travel, a travel insurance policy be taken out to cover loss, cancellation, medical cover etc. for any reason. PHC RIS and the Conference Secretariat do not take responsibility for any delegate failing to insure.
