PHC RIS prize for best poster
|
|
|
This year we awarded the Best Poster Prize to the authors of two posters! They were chosen because they conveyed the author's research and enquiry without using the typical 'aims, methods, results' approach. Instead they made their posters visually exciting with a ‘wow factor’ that catch your eye and made you want to find out more about their projects. Hopefully, these posters will encourage us all to think about new ways to communicate our research.
Congratulations to:
Sonia Champion, Brenda Carter, and Les Taylor for their poster 'Aboriginal people promoting wellbeing within their own community of Whyalla through participatory action research'.

Each year PHCRIS sponsors a poster prize. We do this to:
- promote the effective use of the visual medium
- recognise the effort required to create a poster
- foster enthusiasm for using posters to help disseminate research.
Posters were judged by a panel of 16 judges, and each poster was judged twice.
Judging criteria included:
- compliance to conference poster size guidelines
- visual impact and design
- content and clarity of message
- credits (organisation, contact details, etc)
