As the Event Coordinator for PHC RIS, Sheri Millar's role in the team encompasses a range of functions involved in the coordination of the annual General Practice and Primary Health Care Research Conference. This role incorporates the following responsibilities and range of administrative and associated functions including but not limited to; Coordinate conference arrangements in conjunction with a professional conference organiser; Provide secretariat support to the Conference Advisory Committee; Coordinate the conference program, including session chairs, keynote speakers, plenary speakers, workshop presenters, abstract submission; Assist with financial management, including budget preparation, determination of registration fees, delegate sponsorship and conference insurance; Oversee preparation of conference materials, including abstract handbook, proceedings, preparation of delegate letters, registration forms and brochures; Promote conferences and events; Assist in the organisation of workshops seminars and other events that PHC RIS may be involved with from time to time; and liaise with a number of committees and professional organisations in relation to event coordination.
