Research Associate, Primary Health Care Research and Information Service.

Brief Biography

Rachel is a Research Associate with the Primary Health Care Research and Information Service. She graduated with a first class honours degree in Health Sciences majoring in Psychology. Rachel is currently undertaking a Postgraduate Diploma in Health Economics at the Monash University.

Rachel has a background in education and training in the Aboriginal non-government sector. This reflects her research interest of the development of culturally appropriate health-service frameworks for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander populations. She has worked on research and evaluation projects in a number of areas, including primary health care, occupational health and safety and workers compensation, mental health, workforce planning and community profiling.

Her current work at PHC RIS involves undertaking rapid reviews of research evidence for policy development, and analysis of the Divisions of General Practice data.
