Ann joined PHC RIS in June 2008 as Research Associate and currently is writing synopses of research evidence and activities in equity aspects of primary health care to support government policy development.
Ann’s background in working with refugees stimulated her interest in equity, particularly regarding access to health and education services.
Ann is interested in increasing people’s ability to look after their health through independent access to information about health and healthy living and their access to appropriate health services. Her PHD thesis investigated women’s personal information needs and preferences in relation to menopause and healthy ageing, and examined their independent use of multimedia menopause resources
